Yes. Play is SO important. I live in Chicago without a car (can’t afford) so, to be honest, I am outside almost every single day no matter what the weather. Since the pandemic, a little less, but I usually need to do shopping, run errands, or just check my email at a local coffee shop. Before Covid I was exploring neighborhoods all over town and going downtown for all kinds of things at least weekly. Now, my world has shrunk to my immediate neighborhood. It still isn’t quite safe enough to do all the stuff I was used to doing, but I am hoping to get back to it soon. I had a couple of years of health issues, but things are getting better. Being outside and walking around looking at people and trees and streets and whatever is essential to my well-being.
So sorry you can’t get out much now. I love Chicago and how you can do so many things without a car. I see my former building on your skyline photo. Makes me lonesome! I moved away in 2016.
