My husband and I kept walking-off with one another’s reading glasses, unaware that each of us was going crazy trying to find where we last had them. The frames looked very similar but the strength differed. Our solution was to paint mine with a bright red spot. But this didn’t happen until we had a number of mix-ups and laughs. I can’t say this whether will last, in fact we still easily grab the most accessible pair when we need to read something. He’s more guilty than I. Well, maybe. I can’t remember…
Cute! And, I love the cartoons that Thelma manages to put up with many of our stories! Very appropriate.
Full disclosure: My faithful blogmeister (and daughter) finds the great cartoons that honor all the wonderful stories.
After resisting for many years, I finally bought one of those chain thingys that librarians so often wear. I must admit, it has saved me from looking constantly for my reading glasses, and it’s especially helpful when I’m in the store.
Joan, At least we don’t confuse our four hearing aids! As for the glasses, I now have different ones for reading and walking outside. The latter have a prism that helps me avoid falling down when things in the distance appear to be double. I know that if I could watch myself when I walk, I’d chuckle a lot.
Thelma’s cartoons really brought my piece to life!
Thank you, Thelma, and thank you readers for your positive comments.
