British TV is my go to quarantine channels. I just finished Miss Scarlett and the Duke, she is a 1882 private investigator and he, of course, the handsome police detective, and that he (Stuart Martin) is! All Things Great and Small was heartwarming. Guilty pleasure? My friend and I watched all 26 episodes of The Only Way Is Essex. The show centered around a group of British 25 year olds ups and downs, which had us traveling down memory lane and questioning who would have caught us. James Lock! Onto Doc Martin, 800 Words, The Boomers. Vera, and most memorable Ladies of Letters, etc. etc. So many etc. etc. Between finishing my book (tossed out the first), infrequent walks, dashing in and out of stores, and way too much TV, I do wonder what life will be AFTER this pandemic blows over!

I’m doing exactly the same – way too much streaming. Glad I’m not alone feeling guilty for infrequent walks. Don’t forget eating! You’ve suggested a coupe of shows I was unaware of, so thank you! Doc Martin my all time fave.
Love Doc Martin. Maybe it has to do with my own aging, but I still prefer the orginial All Creatures Great and Small to the new one. Thanks for mentioning some I haven’t seen!
Mar Val, I do not think I posted my 1st comment to you, but yes the eating! My downfall are pastries..Italian, French, Greece, all countries..all pastries. My current excuse..but we are in a pandemic! I should be walking 20 miles a day, but walks around these parks have me feeling like a hamster on an endless wheel. Around and around. I will saving my walks for the beaches back home!
P.S. Acorn TV has great British shows.

I too liked the original of All Creatures Great and Small, it was much warmer, but I still enjoyed BBC’s. I also loved the book. Dear dear Doc Martin. I tried to analyze him with every episode that ended when the parents arrived. His heartless cruel mother was beyond a Mommie Dearest! Acorn TV has all British series that you may enjoy.
Stay well.

Poor Doc – what ghastly parents he had. But what a great character he is. I was pleased to find out the actor and I share a birthday date. He’s great! I’d like Acorn, but already have too many streaming options. In addition – you may not know – Youtube has almost anything you can think of. I just found “Ladies of Letters” & “All Creatures..(1978)” and can watch on a bigger screen via Roku. Wish you could see the singer you had a crush on when we were kids millions of years ago? Try Youtube! Plus old black and white movies, which I brake for. Appreciate your suggestions! My bad excuses for not walking more are ridiculous – I live in an oceanside town, it’s beautiful – but I get bored with the same walks! Plus I don’t like coming back the same route. People drive here just for the wonderful walks. How lame am I – I do drive to other parts of town to enjoy another ocean or beach walk. I’ve been a wanderer all my life, so I’ll blame that for my narrow views. Once all the snow is gone there will be reserve paths.(Notice I am ignoring the health benefits or walking and am thinking of opening a bottle of red…)
Mar Val, Ladies of Letters was my favorite, different and funny. I love when older ladies are just totally bizarre. I do get the walks. I was a 5:30 a.m. in the morning walker and just wanted to feel the sand and listen to the waves coming to shore but NOT the how are you? Thst was for later. Looking up favorite musicians! I like to remember them in their full beauty rocking on stage although I have Googled Joe Perry.
Enjoy the red. 🌿🌻🌿
