I have voted in every election. It’s as thrilling at age 70 as it was the first time. It is astounding how many people do not exercise their right to vote. What’s with that?

I agree, Sharon, that it is astounding how many people do not exercise their right to vote. I credit it to being spoiled and not appreciating this privilege. I was born in a very small country that was taken over by Communism. Fortunately, my family escaped, with my brother and me in tow, before the Communists came in. When we eventually made our way to America, we never missed the opportunity — the responsibility! — to vote. (I had to wait a few years as I was only six when we came to America.) But, sadly, many people who are born with all these privileges don’t value them.
Please, fellow Elder Chicks — BE SURE TO VOTE!!!!!!!!
