I have no advanced degree, but as a nurse, people turn to me for information and I feel compelled to try to provide a calm, fact based response. I think this is a major advantage ElderChicks have – perspective.
On a more personal level, I had committed to disposing of one unused item a day for Lent instead of just giving up chocolate. Boy, my husband and I got into our closets. I pitched everything not used in two years. We already have a trunk full and more closets to go!
What a great idea! Now why didn’t I think of that? I chose ice cream. I think I’ll latch on to your idea to keep me occupied during all the shut downs.
Culling feels so good! I culled 600 books from my collection and my daughter helped me majorly cull my closet. Such a good feeling. Since the virus has hit I cleaned all my cupboards and drawers and got ready to hunker down at home. Be well and happy!

I gave up sugar, but this being closed up thing is making me crave it even more. Good thing there’s no candy in my house right now! I need to start disposing of unused items, I’ve got way too many.
