I have no problem with the question. What IMMEDIATELY came to mind was the story of the policeman who, on spotting a homeless man sitting on the sidewalk and with no shoes, bought him warm socks and shoes and put them on the homeless fellow. Such acts of caring should hit the front pages. Hopefully, they would inspire others to reflect on that policeman’s act and impact the heart of the reader. Love one another. Whatever happened to that once often-used concept.

If people would just remember the old adage, “do unto others as you would have others do unto you”, perhaps there would be more kindness in the world.
I have to agree as to the importance of the story of buying shoes and socks for the homeless man – yes to “do unto others…”

I so agree. the picture is an inspiration. When I first saw it I started to cry. I would love a “good news newspaper”
An organization recently encouraged readers to participate in a 21-day Kindness Challenge. For me it started as simply letting someone go ahead of me in the checkout line at the grocery store. It’s fun…and I’ve continued that practice and more. If everyone would pick one simple deed every day the world would be a nicer place.
