Don’t cry in your beer if you are alone this holiday. It dilutes your beer. There are many of us that will be eating alone but that does not mean we shouldn’t treat ourselves to a feast. Afterall we are special and deserve to be treated accordingly. So when you are preparing your meal(s), do so as if you are having company. I know when I sit down to my stuffed pullet hen, sauteed brussels sprouts, stuffed potato and apple pie there will be 3 of us: me, myself, and I. We are best of friends for 81 years.

Nice to here that you make the best of what you have. Wish I was as strong as you. My problem is I am afraid of being alone.
Very Happy Holiday to you, too. However, you shall not be alone. You have many followers (listeners) who will be with you.
I’ll drink a special toast to you!
You are lovely and strong and a fine example to women everywhere!
wow what strength … I am quite impressed by your stunning attitude, but unfortunately can’t get myself into your marvelous state of mind…. just nibbling while I read, with my yummy little Havanese nestled on my lap, is what does it for me.
P.S. Just realized I left out what’s been major in my life–and yes, I’m still involved–is the feminist movement. I’m active now in what might be our last frontier: scrubbing out the outdated language still everywhere around us.
