At 66.5 I’m still teaching Jr. High/Special Ed. as a long term sub in an Hispanic district in Phoenix, AZ. I fell in ’01, took 8 yrs+ to recover from a TBI (traumatic brain injury), but I’m stronger, wiser, more independent, closer to my Heavenly Father and a much better teacher in terms of working with my students than before. I sing with the church choir, do sermons, help support my 5 grandkids, my ex,who has multiple heart complications, and love my dawg Sully (named after Dr.Quinn’s Sully). I have my own business that works with parents, and will do any errand or need you may have. My pont in this is we can stay active as we seek to help others.. I know God lead me where I am and supports what I try to do. Age is just a number. Technology, now there’s a problem … what’s the difference between a notebook, a tablet, and a computer? And what’s Wii? I bought my kids Wii games for Christmas and I dont’ even know what they are. That’s age in action! May you find the peace of this New Year in all you do.

Thanks I needed to hear that today!
Ann, it seems your life leaves no room for complaining; it’s filled with thinking and doing for others. As for the technology – that’s another world! But here you are, reaching us all on the internet.
I am 81 and I love all the new gadgets. We are not too old to try and learn how to use them. I am on facebook and skype and plan to get a new iphone 4s so I can keep up with our grand children. I am busy giving talk trying to convince seniors that they are never too old to try new things and make new friends of all ages. Yes, age is only a number, it is your attitude and what you do with your life.

Love your attitude! Blessings.
